Jo Anne has been licensed since 1985. She has been recognized as a top Realtor in Rhode Island. Jo Anne is a current member of the National Association of Realtors, the Rhode Island of Realtors & the Greater Providence Board of Realtors. Jo Anne is past President of the Greater Providence Board and a past Director for the Greater Providence Board of Realtors & the Rhode Island Association of Realtors. She also has a Pharmacy degree from Northeastern University & a MBA from Babson College.

Graduated from Providence College in 1983 with a B.S. in Business/Marketing and a B.A. in Spanish.

Upon getting married and moving to Rhode Island in 1985, became a Realtor. Sold real estate until 1990 when I became a residential appraiser. Worked for a few companies prior to starting my own business in 2003.

Aside from affiliations with local and state boards as noted in the resume, I had been very involved with Girl Scouts of Rhode Island and chaired the Project Undercover program for many years. This program still exists and is even more viable today. It provides diapers, socks and underclothing to children in Rhode Island as well as nearby MA and CT (G.S.R.I.’s boundaries).

I am currently involved with the Furniture Bank of Rhode Island. This program also fills a basic need for many throughout Rhode Island. Our mission is to provide furnishings (including furniture) at a minimal cost or no cost through our 85 +/- member social-service agencies around the state. As many social service agencies have closed in recent years, we are fortunate to have a very dedicated Executive Director and staff that work many hours for very little pay. We are also fortunate to have Cardi’s Furniture, Ocean State Job Lot and CVS as significant donors/sponsors.

My other extra-curricular activities include being an active member of St. Rita’s Parish in Oakland Beach, Warwick and a member of the Oakland Beach Association. I am also a member of the Greater Providence Senior Resource Alliance. We are a consortium of professionals that lend our services to Seniors. Our group includes an Elder care attorney, a financial planner, a CPA, a real estate professional (JoAnne Samborsky), a group home administrator, a medicaid/medicare specialist and a home care provider.

I reside in Warwick with Brian and have two children. Brittany, a graduate of Warwick Vets High School and the University of Virginia is currently a registered nurse at Georgetown Hospital in Washington, DC.

Connor is a graduate of Bishop Hendricken High School and a junior majoring in Pre-Med studies at the University of Delaware.
